Mesa Seal Material used in a primary and secondary metallic plate compression seal system

MesaWedge Seal Material used in a primary and secondary IFRT seal system

Mesa Seal systems are designed to prevent product loss and atmospheric contamination from Aboveground Storage Tanks (AST) as well as provide a weather shield. Seal Systems meet or exceed environmental regulations and are custom designed to ensure effective operation in specific tank conditions. Mesa Seal Systems can be installed while the tank is in-service.

API test programs for evaporative loss and emission show that emission from roof (deck) fittings without seals or gaskets can be a significant portion of the total emissions from ASTs. A well-designed and maintained peripheral rim seal may not always keep the tank in compliance. Wind factors can increase VOC emissions, particularly from roof fittings that are not properly sealed.

Mesa Seal Systems are engineered, tested and manufactured to meet EPA-AST Environmental Compliance requirements. Seal Systems include:

  • MesaThane seal material is used in primary curtain seals and secondary curtain seals in EFRTs. Specifications are available for specific chemical compatibility.

  • Mesalon seal material is used in primary curtain seals and secondary curtain seals in EFRTs. Specifications are available for specific chemical compatibility.

  • MesaWedge The MSW-6100 Wiper Seal is ideal for an I.F.R.T. requiring a low-profile, lightweight seal system.

  • Mesa Double Wedge The MDW-6100 Wiper Seal satisfies primary and secondary seal system requirements for most I.F.R.T.s.

  • Mesa MPLG-510 Primary Liquid-Gravity Tube Seal is the most effective Primary Seal for tanks with warped shells and off-center roofs.

  • Mesa Foam Log Seals or foam primary seals systems are and effective choice for the primary seal in and EFRT or IFRT.

  • Mesa Seal Tips for all E.F.R.T. Steel Compression Plate Secondary Seals.
