ROOF LEG SOCKS FOR STORAGE TANK SUPPORT LEGS: INSTALLATION

Mesa floating roof leg socks / leg boots are engineered for a precise fit on the floating roof storage tank. Each Leg Sock cover is designed after taking into consideration detailed dimensions of the support leg. Mesa is then able to offer a complete design that will operate efficiently throughout the day-to-day cycling of the tank. Below are instructions for installing Mesa Leg Socks:

1. Clean  the  leg  sleeve  in   area  to  be  clamped (from   the  pin   to  approximately 6"  below).
2. Slide  the Leg  Sock over  the  roof  leg.   The closed  end  of  the  boot  should  run  the same  direction  as  the pin  and/or  handle.
3. Secure  the  Leg  Boot to the  leg  sleeve with  one  clamp just below the  pin.
   
   For  the  standard  material, MesaThane  6036,  the  black side  will face out,   exposed  to  ambient air,   and  the  gray side  will  be  towards  the  product.

Note: the terms "Leg Socks" and "Leg Boots" are used interchangeably.
