HEMISPHERICAL VAPOR BLADDER / GAS COLLECTION DIAPHRAGM INSTALLATION
Mesa Hemispherical Vapor Bladders are engineered for a precise fit in the holding tank. Below is an example of the type of instructions that are offered for installation of Mesa Hemispherical Vapor Bladders.
- Move the bladder into the tank: the bladder will arrive at the job site either wrapped in burlap or in a lined wooden box (crate). If there exists a large enough opening in the roof the bladder should be moved with a crane, through a roof, into the tank while still in its shipping container for protection.
- If the bladder must be taken in through a manway it will be necessary to remove it from the burlap wrapping or box. Lay it out in a safe area and roll or fold it into a long bundle small enough in diameter to fit through the largest available entry port.
- Check the entry port and the adjacent areas inside and outside the tank for anything which might snag, slit or puncture the bladder as it is moved.
- If the dollar plate is secured to the bladder at the factory the assembly must be moved very carefully- Note: If the heavy steel dollar plate is dropped onto the bladder against the floor it can puncture the bladder fabric.
